PMA’s philosophy of Education, adopts a holistic view of man as body, soul and spirit. With the character development, a balanced college education, physical development training and military leadership, prepare the Cadets for the profession of arms and to be responsive to the needs of the Armed Forces of the country.
Characterized by the acronym CAMP, which stands for Character, Academics, Military Skills and Physical Fitness, which serve as the pillars in developing a well-rounded Cadet who will become future leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The CAMP is the blueprint of the present curriculum being implemented in the Academy.
Why join the PMA?
Aside from the prestige embedded in the name, the cadet has the noble privilege in serving the country plus a free college education with a well-rounded curriculum, and a monthly salary and allowances. Successful cadets are also guaranteed of jobs after graduation and a progressive career as an Officer in the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, and the Philippine Airforce.
What is the qualification of a PMA cadet?
- An applicant must be a natural born Filipino citizen
- He/ She must be physically fit and of good moral character
- Single and has never been married
- He/ She must pass the PMA entrance examination
- Had never been charged Administratively or involved in a Criminal Case
- At least a high school graduate
- Height requirement for both male and female must be at last 5 feet, but not to exceed 6’4”
- At least 17 years old but not a day older than 22 years old on April 1 of the year following the date of the examination
Note: Applicants younger than 17 years old but or at least 16 years old on 01 April following the date of examination, may apply as cadet provided that the applicant possesses the above-mentioned qualification. Should the applicant pass the qualifying examination, the procedure in handling underage applicants will apply.

Online Application
Get ready of your High School Form 137 or form 138 and NSO copy of Birth Certificate, these are the documents needed for online application. All interested applicants are requested to scan (pdf file format) said documents and attach it to the On Line Application System.
Be sure to read and meet all the requirements and qualification for a cadet applicant.

PMA Application Process:
Step 1
Applicant obtain and fill-out application form, then submit form to the Office of the Admission, and they will issue an acknowledgement receipt.
Step 2
Report on Examination Centers on the day of examination, where applicant receive instruction prior to examination from the Proctor and undergo limited physical examination.
Step 3
The Office of Admission informs applicant date of physical examination wherein the applicant reports to AFP Medical Center (Formerly V Luna) for Medical, Dental, and Neuropsychiatric examination.

Frequently asked Questions
Question: I applied to take the exam at a particular center, can I take the exam in another center?
Answer: Yes, you may go to the center and inform the proctor about your circumstances.
Question: Is there a limit on how many times I can take the exam?
Answer: None, as long as you met the requirements.
Question: How much is the examination fee?
Answer: No FEES, the Exam is Free
Question: How should I prepare for the exam?
Answer: Prepare for the areas covering;
- Algebra and Geometry
- Grammar Composition, Reading and Comprehension
- Verbal/Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis
Questions: What are the things to bring for the exam?
Answer:
Photocopy of Birth Certificate and Grades
2 X 2 ID picture
Valid ID (preferably school ID or Driver’s License)
At least 2 pencils (no 2)
Question: I did not apply by mail or online, can I go to exam center on exam day?
Answer: Yes, but you will be given last priority. Priority will be given to regular applicants. Proctor brings only limited number of exam materials.
Question: How long is the exam?
Answer: On examination day, the whole morning (7am to 11 am) will be for the administrative aspects of the exam (fill up forms, limited physical exam, etc.). The exam proper starts exactly at 12noon and last until 4:30 in the afternoon.
When is the schedule PMA Entrance examination?
For this year, PMA will be conducting the entrance exam on August 20,2017 selected examination centers nationwide.
