Poisoning occurs when a person swallow or ingested a toxic substance, inhaling chemicals or gases, touching or injecting drugs or being bitten by venomous insects or animals.
Children especially toddlers are more prone to poisoning. From the time the child learns how to grab things and put it on his mouth. They are too curious to touch and examine things in their surroundings. Children should be closely monitored since they are extra sensitive to even small amounts of drugs or chemicals.
What are the common symptoms of poisoning?
Symptoms includes vomiting, diarrhea, muscle weakness, eye redness, impaired visions, lost of consciousness, confusion or altered mental status.
What to do in cases of poisoning?
If a person obtained mild or severe poisoning, bring patient immediately to the nearest hospital to be given first aid or antidote. Poisoning is not an ordinary case, IT IS DEADLY and needs immediate care.

Types of symptoms must be established, age of the patient and the type and amount of substance that caused poisoning.
